Colon - Stage IV |
Age at Diagnosis: 48
I lost my wife at age 49 to colon cancer in 2017. She was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in 2016. She was experiencing pain in her stomach and side three months prior to being diagnosed but would say, “It’s nothing.” She became a workaholic, always striving to climb that ladder. She didn’t take the time to listen when her body was trying to tell her “There’s something wrong, and that’s why you have been experiencing pain!
Listen to your body and do not ignore the warning signs that something is wrong with your body. The last two years in March, I have done a Colon Cancer Awareness Presentation to my co-workers and friends about colon cancer. In my wife’s memory, I am a voice on her behalf about colon cancer awareness.
