"You must believe it’s beatable because IT IS!"

Patient/Survivor |

Colon - Stage IV |

Age at Diagnosis: 51

Had intermittent bleeding consistent with hemorrhoids, and irregular bowel movements. Colonoscopy located a large mass in my sigmoid. The CT that followed identified a mass on my lung and liver. Completed 4 rounds of chemo when Dr’s said the shrinkage was remarkable and surgery had to happen before the tumors shrunk further. Had my lung resection at 4 months with zero margins, and my liver and colon resection at the same time in month 5. 19 lymph nodes removed and tested negative. One month later I started 8 more rounds of chemo. I have been NED for 10 months and all signs pointing to a successful treatment. Three things have me the strength I needed to beat this: 1) God and my faith. 2) MD Anderson and the absolute 1st rate team. 3) my wife and children. But I DID AND I AM STILL WINNING TODAY!!!!!
