The Colorectal Cancer Caucus works collaboratively to raise awareness about colorectal cancer among members of Congress and staff, lead the charge in educating Congress on critical colorectal cancer issues, and drive momentum for policy changes that improve lives and outcomes.

Donald Payne Jr

*Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. passed away in April 2024. Congressman Payne was a founding co-chair of the Colorectal Cancer Caucus and relentless champion for this fight against colorectal cancer since 2013. Representative Payne’s advocacy started in memory of his father, Representative Donald Payne Sr. who passed away from colorectal cancer in March 2012. Since then, he actively promoted enhanced awareness of colon cancer and colonoscopies among residents in his district and beyond. His love, dedication, and advocacy will be deeply missed.
