David's story

By happenstance, my primary care physician moved away, and I inherited a new doctor. One of the first tests he asked for was a Cologuard®. The test kit arrived and sat in my home for six months before my new doctor insisted I take the test. It came back positive. He referred me to a gastroenterologist who performed a colonoscopy. I’ll never forget the look on the gastroenterologist face when walking in to give me my results.

Signs and symptoms

Signs and symptoms included unexplained/sudden weight loss, and fatigue.

Side effects included fatigue, bowel irregularities, chemo induced nausea and vomiting (CINV), distress or mental health issues/illness.

David's advice

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers if addressed early.

You must have polyps before you have this cancer. Catch the polyps before they turn cancerous.
