Break Down Barriers to Screening
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
There are over 1 million colorectal cancer survivors in the United States.
There are 30+ million that need to be screened. Let’s break down barriers to screening.
Did you know that while Medicare covers screening for Americans who qualify if polyps are removed during the procedure they can be left with a large bill to pay? This keeps many Americans from getting the lifesaving colorectal cancer screening that they need.
Colorectal cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer if caught early. According to a recent analysis, closing the loophole with this bill would save Medicare $525 million over 10 years and prevent upwards of 2,000 colorectal cancer cases due to proper and timely screening.*
By signing your name, you’re telling legislators that it’s time everyone had access to screening without any financial burden. Fight Colorectal Cancer will send your name onto legislators after March Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.

Social media is an effective (and simple) way to raise awareness of colorectal cancer and the importance of screening. By sharing these social media images, you never know who you will remind to “get screened.”

We are here to help you Fight.
Fight Colorectal Cancer leads a community of colorectal cancer advocates to drive research, advocacy, education and awareness until we find a cure.
We are all in when it comes to research. We follow the latest about basic biology and prevention, treatment and survivorship. We also fund groundbreaking projects.
We fight for policy change year-round in Washington, D.C. that supports patients, survivors, and their families.
We develop medically-reviewed resources at no-cost to patients so they can make informed decisions about their care.
Show your support in the fight against colorectal cancer by snapping a #StrongArmSelfie.
A “strong arm selfie” is an easy way to show your support the fight against colorectal cancer. It’s a sign to a patient that you care. A symbol to a caregiver that you’ve got their back. And, it may also serve as a reminder to get screened for colorectal cancer.
For every #StrongArmSelife, a $1 donation is made to Fight Colorectal Cancer.
