2024-2025 Catalyst Grantee

Fight CRC’s grantee in Georgia is working to clarify Georgia law to ensure that all state-approved insurance plans fully cover colorectal cancer screening beginning at age 45 and to remove out of pocket costs for colonoscopy following an abnormal non-invasive screening test.

Georgia CORE is a statewide 501c3 that leverages partnerships and innovation to attract more clinical trials, increase research, and promote education and early detection to improve cancer care for Georgians in rural, urban, and suburban communities across the state. 

Georgia Colorectal Cancer Screening Coverage

Georgia state law requires every health benefit policy to provide coverage for colorectal cancer screening in accordance with the most recently published guidelines and recommendations established by the American Cancer Society, in consultation with the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Radiology, for the ages, family histories, and frequencies referenced in such guidelines and deemed appropriate by a patient’s physician.
