Smitha S. Krishnamurthi, MD is a medical oncologist specializing in the care of patients with gastrointestinal cancers. She is a staff physician in the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Krishnamurthi is a co-Chair of the Colon Task Force for the GI Steering Committee of the National Cancer Institute. She is a member of the GI committee of Southwest Oncology Group. She is also a member of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer Gastrointestinal Cancers Immunotherapy Guideline Expert Panel. Her research interest is in clinical trials for patients with gastrointestinal cancers. She enjoys partnering with Fight Colorectal Cancer to raise awareness about early onset colorectal cancer, treatment of colorectal cancer and clinical trials.
