Be Part of Change
Why Advocate?
- Colorectal cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death overall and the leading cause of cancer death for people under age 50
- Federal research funding does not reflect this reality
- If we don’t speak up and demand change, no one else will do it for us
Who should attend Call-on Congress?
- Patients & survivors
- Caregivers & families
- Medical professionals & researchers
- Anyone who wants to make a difference on behalf of the colorectal cancer community
Your advocacy works:
- Fight CRC advocates have helped secure increased funding for colorectal cancer research and screening.
- Eliminated out‑of‑pocket costs for colonoscopies after an abnormal non‑invasive screening test for Medicare and private insurance.
- Ensured Medicare patients who have a polyp removed during a screening colonoscopy do not face out of pocket costs.

Junior Advocates program
The Junior Advocate program empowers children impacted by colorectal cancer to become confident advocates and future leaders in policy change. Young advocates build connections, support each other, and develop their voices to advocate year-round. Each March, Junior Advocates come together to Washington, D.C. for Call-on Congress to make their voices heard.
Even if you can’t attend Call-on Congress, Junior Advocates continue to interact and advocate together throughout the year. For Junior Advocates aged 13 and older, there’s a dedicated group inside Community of Champions where you can stay connected, informed, and actively engaged in advocacy, no matter where you are.
