Ellen is a rectal cancer survivor whose journey has become a source of strength and purpose. After facing her diagnosis in 2020, Ellen chose to turn her experience into advocacy by volunteering with Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC) the Colon Cancer Alliance and Cancer Nation to raise awareness and support others navigating their own cancer journeys. Ellen participated in the Fight CRC Ambassador Program (2023–2024) and served as a mentor for the 2024–2025 class. She continues to guide and encourage new advocates in sharing their voices. Since 2022, She has participated in Call on Congress, advocating for more funding for research and clinical trials and finding a cure for colorectal cancer. Her passion lies in empowering survivors, promoting early detection, and fostering hope. Ellen believes that through community and compassion, every story can help save a life. Ellen hopes to learn from other participants how to improve her advocacy work.
