Muhammad Hamid

Patients & Survivors Stage IV Colon Cancer
Back to Champion Stories

Story: "I planned a trip to the Northern areas of Pakistan with my family. While on my way back, I had a severe pain in my lower abdomen. I went to the hospital, and they gave me tablets for stomach pain, which was obvious for normal constipation. Since pain was still there, I went through a colonoscopy, barium enema, X-ray, CEA, and CT scan.

"It turned out to be stage IV colon cancer with liver mets. I was diagnosed at 24 years old.

"I am done with four rounds of chemo, and I am waiting for my CT scan result. I am hoping for the best."

Advice: "Don't be scared. Educate yourself. Never give up!"
