Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers if addressed early. You must have polyps before you have this cancer. Catch the polyps before they turn cancerous.
By happenstance, my primary care physician moved away, and I inherited a new doctor. I had unexplained/sudden weight loss, and fatigue. One of the first tests he asked for was a Cologuard®. The test kit arrived and sat in my home for six months before my new doctor insisted I take the test. It came back positive. He referred me to a gastroenterologist who performed a colonoscopy. I’ll never forget the look on the gastroenterologist face when walking in to give me my results.
