I do this work because I believe in the power of people to create change. Every day, I see our advocates — people who have faced pain, fear, and loss — stand up with incredible courage to make life better for others. They’re not only fighting for themselves or their loved ones; they’re paving the way for future patients and families who don’t even know yet that they’ll need this movement. That kind of hope, generosity, and vision is contagious. It reminds me to be grateful for my own health and family, and it fills me with joy to stand alongside them. Being part of this community means turning heartbreak into progress, fear into action, and challenges into brighter tomorrows. That’s why I do this work — because together, we’re building a future where fewer lives are lost to colorectal cancer, and more people get to live fully, joyfully, and with hope.
