Prior to joining Cardinal Group Management, Sophie held significant leadership roles within the federal government, demonstrating a consistent commitment to national security and organizational excellence. Most notably, Sophie served as the Deputy Chief People Officer for the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). As the second-in-command for the agency's human capital strategy, Sophie was instrumental in shaping the workforce strategy for one of the nation's most critical cybersecurity organizations, leading impactful employee engagement initiatives and cultivating a culture of excellence.
Earlier in her distinguished federal career spanning over 12 years, Sophie also served as a key Legislative Liaison with the Department of Defense (DoD). In this highly visible and strategic role, Sophie navigated complex legislative landscapes, building crucial relationships and effectively advocating for the Department's priorities. This experience honed exceptional stakeholder management and strategic communication skills at the highest levels of government.
Sophie's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources, providing a unique intersection of technical understanding and human capital expertise. Furthering her commitment to strategic leadership, Sophie has also earned a Master's of Legal Studies, offering a sophisticated understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape impacting talent management and organizational development.
