In July of 2024, after 24 hours of extreme stomach pain, I took myself to the ER thinking I had a bowel obstruction. Turns out, it was stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to 75% of my liver. I spent the next five months undergoing chemotherapy and targeted therapy. Then I had a portal vein embolization, a liver resection, 18 inches of my colon and 30 lymph nodes removed. I have been NED since May of 2025.

My three young boys keep me going and remind me that every day is a gift! I try to keep my mind and body as healthy as possible! I wholeheartedly believe that mindset is everything!
