"Every person deserves to be heard and taken seriously. We all matter."
Miles was 23 years old when he died on November 1, 2024, after an eight-month medical journey that ended with the discovery of aggressive metastatic colon cancer that was never diagnosed while he was alive. He was a kind, loving young man who cared deeply for his family and friends. He loved cooking, music, and making others feel important. He dreamed of building a career, owning a business, and having a family of his own. Beginning in March 2024, Miles was hospitalized multiple times and underwent extensive testing, surgeries, and procedures as his condition worsened without answers. After his death, a private autopsy revealed widespread metastatic colon cancer throughout his abdomen, specifically adenocarcinoma with signet ring cells. He never knew he had cancer, and he never had the chance to fight it.
