Can anyone participate?
Absolutely anyone can and should participate! This year, we’ve made it easier than ever to join our March awareness effort from anywhere, regardless of who you are or where you live. Whether you’re part of a local clinic, looking to engage your neighborhood, bringing awareness to your workplace, or simply participating with your household, every effort makes a difference.
Why do I need a yard sign?
While you understand the meaning behind your flag display, passersby may not. The yard sign clearly explains the purpose of your display, helping to inform and engage others about the importance of colorectal cancer awareness.
Where should I put the flags?
Place the flags anywhere they will be highly visible and spark curiosity! The more visible your display, the greater the impact in raising awareness. Popular locations include the front lawn of your home, outside your workplace, at local clinics, schools, or community centers.
If you’re placing flags in a public space or on property you don’t own, be sure to get the proper permission from property owners or local authorities. This ensures your display is respected and remains in place to make a lasting impact.
How many flags do I need?
The number of flags you plant is entirely up to you! Our basic kit includes 27 flags, but you can always order more to make an even bigger impact. Here are some meaningful ways to decide how many flags to display:
- Honor Loved Ones: Dedicate each flag to a patient, survivor, or caregiver in your life. Fundraising
- Milestone: Plant one flag for every $1 raised to support colorectal cancer awareness.
- State Impact: Display the number of flags that represents the projected colorectal cancer diagnoses in your state.
- Make a Bold Statement: Go all out and plant as many flags as possible to create a striking sea of blue that grabs attention and sparks conversation.
