Helene Weig, MSN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience, beginning her career in 2001 as a medical assistant and receptionist. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University and holds national certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
She has been a dedicated nurse for 17 years, a loving mom for to her 5 kids; Amanda, Matthew, Paul, Justen & Marc Jr. and a devoted wife to her Late Husband Marc who lost his battle with colon cancer three weeks before she graduated with her Master's degree in 2025.
She has vowed to keep his memory alive by educating others of the importance of being screened and normalize talking about it to save lives. She created A way to give back to the cancer community through a charity in memory of her husband called marcs-mark.org providing chemo care bags to cancer patients.
In her free time, she is deeply involved in cancer advocacy through FightCrc.org she obtained 8 Proclamations this year from various counties, towns & municipalities in Florida & PA declaring March as colon cancer awareness month. she also volunteers with V for Victory in Jacksonville, Florida a local nonprofit who became a huge support to her family through her husband's cancer journey. She also provides shoeboxes of love for the local homeless shelter providing necessities & hygiene items at the City rescue Mission in Jacksonville, Florida. She created an Event at Ascension St. Vincent’s called the memory tree that celebrated its 3rd year in 2025 allowing staff to honor & remember loved ones that have passed. As well as hosting Colon Cancer educational events for FIGHTCRC.org in the hospital lobby in March. Two of her children Matthew & Marc Jr have both participated in colon cancer advocacy & also attended Call on Congress with her this past March. She treasures family above all and loves traveling to visit loved ones and enjoying Disney trips.
