Lana McKee, currently a Territory Account Manager at Genentech, is an accomplished oncology nurse dedicated to bridging clinical excellence with patient advocacy. Previously the lead for the Melanoma Sarcoma Disease Working Group at UAB, where she co-published numerous white papers on melanoma and sarcoma research, Lana integrates an extensive research background with a perspective profoundly shaped by her personal journey as a caregiver.

Driven by the legacy of her late husband, Joseph—a healthy firefighter diagnosed unexpectedly with de-novo stage IV colorectal cancer—Lana brings a multifaceted blend of clinical, research, and lived caregiver expertise to the oncology community. As a prominent voice and frequent panelist, she collaborates with organizations such as Dreampath Diagnostics and the Sylvester Cancer Center’s International Firefighter Cancer research initiatives. Lana also serves on advisory councils for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (AYA Oncology) and the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center (Young Adult Cancer Program), and she remains active in the community as the volunteer leader of the Casting for Recovery Southeast Chapter.
