"Cancer is not a death sentence and as long as you remain positive, you will feel good. You will make it though because you have a whole network of individual who have been in your shoes and can provide advice or just a listening ear."

Rectal - Stage III |

Age at Diagnosis: 28

I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer in June of 2022 at the age of 28. I had been having symptoms such as stomach pains, blood in rectum and always feeling full. My OBGYN referred me to a GI who scheduled an ultrasound followed by a colonoscopy. I found out I had cancer as soon as the colonoscopy was done but of course it was sent to the lab to confirm. I cried and felt scared when I first found out.
