Colon - Stage IV |

Age at Diagnosis: 36

Hubby and I were moving from Australia back to his native USA. I was doing pre move medical checks and blood tests came back super lower iron and hemoglobin. Dr asked if I had blood when I went to the toilet – I said yes but not often. She said I’m not letting you move until you have a colonoscopy. Hubby was already in the USA when I had my colonoscopy. Told that day they has found cancer, more scans and told that night by my surgeon that it was Stage 4 at 36. Hubby and all our stuff got turned around back to Aus. 12th Dec 9.5hr surgery which was a success – all cancer gone and clear margins. I am now round 9 of 12 of clean up chemo. Our boxes are still packed and sitting in the spare room!
