Age at Diagnosis: 50
I had just turned 50. I’m very proactive with my health so I scheduled my initial scope. Back then, the magical age was 50 but now it’s 45. I had no symptoms, no family history and no reason to think that this was nothing more than a reason to get a good drug induced snooze, time off from work and a good lunch. Once out of anesthesia I was taken into a room where my ride was sitting and we were waiting for the doctor. He came in turned on the screen and I think from that point I sort of thought this was happening to someone else, not me. Three weeks later I had a resection and the results were T1/M3/N0. Very fortunate.
