I got diagnosed with stage four colon cancer at 26 years old. My symptoms started as lower left abdominal pain after eating, change in bowel habits, and then not being able to eat and keep anything down.

I went for an MRI and got admitted that night for emergency surgery. They couldn’t complete my colonoscopy as my tumour was blocking me completely. I had surgery to remove my tumour & reconnect my sigmoid colon, my right ovary, 13 lymph nodes & part of my peritoneum.

I went through egg retrieval, a port placed in my chest & chemo all within a month while trying to heal.

I’m not 21 rounds in and fighting to get surgery which I currently don’t qualify for!
