"Having lost a spouse to colon cancer, my number one mission following her diagnosis was to keep her around for as long as possible. After being told that we would likely have one year, we were able to stretch that into ten. We were given nine additional years to fulfill so many life goals and dreams, for which I will forever be grateful. Every person wants to make their time count, and I feel that we were able to make her years following her diagnosis count."
