Types of Volunteer Opportunities

We have many ways you can volunteer.

Throughout the year, Fight CRC hosts multiple events such as United in Blue, Call-on Congress and Climb for a Cure. We rely on volunteers for setup, mentoring, and programming, and cleanup.

We are also called on to help with local events in communities all across the U.S., and, at times, need a helping hand.
We also have recurring volunteer opportunities available, such as writing monthly thank you notes to donors and carrying Fight CRC resources into your local clinics and doctor’s offices twice/year.

There are also one-time commitments that frequently come up, like working at an awareness booth or the Fight CRC table when a conference is hosted in your area.

Ambassador Program

Becoming an ambassador is a year-long commitment where volunteers use their voices and experiences to make a difference. Ambassadors increase awareness, advocate for life-saving research and resources, and ensure no one faces colorectal cancer alone. They commit to activities like training sessions, exclusive representation, attending signature events, and raising awareness and funds.

Research Advocacy Training and Support (RATS) Program

Volunteers in the RATS program are some of the most educated patient voices at research tables. Research advocates volunteer their time to learn about colorectal cancer research so they can sit on some of the leading committees and boards in their local communities and across the country. This group ensures patients are at the center of all research decisions.
