My story began early January 2025. My husband and I just found out we were pregnant with our first child after some infertility struggles. I began having severe constipation and bloating, however I contributed it to early pregnancy. It seemed like overnight my symptoms appeared. Weeks went by and my constipation, bloating & fatigue got worse. I indeed was at my breaking point. I urgently called my GI doctor and was scoped the following day. Cancer never ever crossed my mind. My doctor called three days later to tell me my biopsies came back positive for rectal adenocarcinoma stage 2. Weeks to come I underwent a D&C, ovarian transposition, port placement, 25 radiation sessions & 5 rounds of chemotherapy. I indeed had a complete response to therapy and today I am currently cancer free.
