I was told by two different doctors that I was “too young” for colorectal cancer. I now know that ALL of the symptoms that I had are signs of colorectal cancer - abdominal cramping and pain, blood in my stool, diarrhea, and unexplained weight loss. Since diagnosis, I’ve undergone chemo, radiation, two major surgeries, and I have a permanent colostomy. I want to share my story as widely as possible in the hopes that one day no patient will be told they are too young for colorectal cancer.”
