State Issue Brief: Screening Age of 45

In 2018, the American Cancer Society (ACS) lowered their recommended age to begin colorectal cancer screening age for average risk adults from 50 to 45 years old. Many insurance companies still follow the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines which recommend screening at age 50. Fight CRC is working at the state level to ensure access to colorectal cancer screening beginning at age 45.
