Story: “I have been getting a physical every year since age 21. On my 50th birthday, I got my annual physical. During my visit to my primary doctor's office, I asked my physician for every test that a 50-year-old Black man should have. My doctor gave me every test that I should have, including a colonoscopy. All tests came back negative, but the colonoscopy was the last test. I had my colonoscopy in March 2018, and that was when I found out that I had blockage in my colon.”
Advice: “Find out as much as you can about your family health history. It can really matter on your lifestyle, eating habits, and doctor's visits.”
