Rectal - Stage III |

A friend had emailed me to encourage my husband to get a colonoscopy. A mutual friend had recently been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and he knew my husband needed to have an exam.
I was not able to convince my husband to make an appointment, but it did nudge me to sign myself up. This nudge saved my life, I was diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer, but with treatment, I am close to being two years cancer free!

"While a colonoscopy is not an enjoyable experience, it is nothing compared to treatment. If I had had an exam earlier, I would have caught my cancer before it advanced, but it saved my life to have gone at all.”
