Kim Salls is thrilled to join the Fight Colorectal Cancer board to lead in the mission toward a cure for colorectal cancer and increased advocacy for all who have been affected. Kim became passionate in her advocacy of this fight after her wife, Jill, was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in January 2015 at the age of 37. Since that time, Kim has been by Jill’s side through ongoing treatment, including multiple surgeries, ongoing chemotherapy, and radiation. They have traveled to many hospitals throughout the country to investigate all available treatment options and work tirelessly toward a cure. Over the past seven years, Kim and Jill have become involved in Fight CRC and have advocated for increased funding, better access to healthcare, and advances in the treatment of colorectal cancer.

Kim resides in St. Louis, Missouri, where she is the owner and CEO of a social service agency that provides care to individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities. She has a daughter, Madisen, who also has worked toward fundraising efforts for various cancers.
