I was diagnosed with colon cancer nearly ten years ago, in 2011, at age 30. Since then, my life has totally changed thanks to champions like you. I connected with the Colon Club in 2012, which led me to Fight CRC and my first Call-on Congress.

Since then, I've stood on the US Capitol steps and advocated for change and I've captured images of and climbed mountains with survivors, fighters, families, and too many people that we've lost to CRC. It's been an amazing journey and helped me figure out who I am and what I'm passionate about. I recently accepted a job close to my home in Maine where I can focus on my passion for the outdoors as the Membership and Marketing Director for Maine Outdoor Brands, an alliance of businesses and nonprofits working to strengthen the state's outdoor recreation economy.

March 19 is my last day on staff with Fight CRC, but I'll still be around! I'm a member of the planning committee for this year's Climb for a Cure and I can't wait to share with you what we've got in store.

Moving forward always requires one to leave something behind, and while I leave the day to day, I will take the fight with me. I'll still be in the mountains with everyone as Climb for a Cure continues to grow and I will take the priceless experiences I've had working with a group of the most selfless, kind-hearted people I've ever known. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. You're in good hands!
