People of African decent are about 20% more likely to get colorectal cancer and about 40% more likely to die from it than most other groups. February’s Mega Meetup will focus on the Black community. We will discuss our experiences and break into groups focused on discussions about implicit bias, screening stigmas, and how to close the gap in getting resources to the community. Discussion will be focused on pressing topics related to Black survivors and caregivers; however, anyone is welcome to come and learn from the experiences of and how to support this community. Find your community within the community. Have you turned challenges into opportunities? Help others by talking about obstacles you’ve faced and how you’ve navigated them. Participate in meaningful conversations with both peers and professionals. No one fights alone.

Mega Meetups are designed to facilitate engagement within specific communities within the colorectal cancer community. Come actively engage in meaningful conversations, share valuable insights and personal experiences, and/or receive advice. No one fights alone.
