Story: "A shoulder replacement saved my life! I needed a shoulder replacement, so my doctor sent me for pre-op testing. When I went to visit my general practitioner, he said to me, 'you’re 51 and never had a colonoscopy?' Of course being a smart guy I said to him, 'What does my shoulder have to do with my colon?' Being 51 a 9/11 first responder and having a mother who had colon cancer, I took his advice and went. Hello stage II colon cancer. I don’t know if I would even be here today if it wasn’t for him. I stress: Get tested!"

Advice: "Don’t be afraid or embarrassed. We have to stay strong and fight to help others in the future."
