Family & Friends Stage IV Colon Cancer New York
Back to Champion Stories

Story: "My son was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at age 20. He had no history and no signs. Months later we found out he had a BRAF mutation. We traveled and received two other opinions from cancer treatment hospitals, only to find out there was nothing out there to cure or even slow the cancer from spreading. Eleven months later he passed away leaving behind a beautiful 2-year-old daughter that will never know him. We need more research for treatment in these rare mutations."

Advice: "Don't give up hope."
