Back to Champion Stories

Story: “In September of 2017 my father, Sergio Makita, discovered he had colorectal cancer stage III and started his fight. He underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

In January 2018 he blew out his intestine. Due to some complications, chemotherapy did not start until June 2018. In the PET scan, they detected a lump in his liver. The adjuvant chemo ended and in the first follow-up examination he saw that the nodule.”

Advice: “I know how difficult it is, but don't lose faith in healing or forgiveness. I am also looking for people who have a similar diagnosis.”
