LA HISTORIA DE RACHEL

I was anemic for a while,always pale,tired, I just thought it was my heavy menstrual cycles. My GYN also confirmed that it was my cycles. I had received a blood transfusion and was getting iron infusions. Eventually I had a CAT Scan that showed a mass in my cecum. I had a colonoscopy which revealed a large mass and had surgery the next day. Pathology showed Stage IIIB Cancer with 4/25 positive lymph nodes. Chemo for 6 months. Cancer free now.  I am 44 years old, no history of bowel issues, no family history. I want to share my story.

CONSEJOS DE RACHEL

No ignores nada. Yo estaba anémica, sin problemas intestinales, pero pensé que eran mis ciclos menstruales abundantes y mi ginecólogo estuvo de acuerdo conmigo. Sé positiva. A veces es duro, pero mi actitud positiva me ayudó a superar los momentos difíciles. Acepta la ayuda que te ofrece tanta gente. Estoy divorciada y soltera. Soy independiente y no me gusta pedir ayuda. Cuando la necesité, aprendí a pedirla.
