Joseph's story

I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer last year. I had a 10.5 cm tumor removed from my colon, and the cancer spread to my peritoneum lymph nodes. I started KEYTRUDA® and have been NED since!

My oncologist and team didn’t think I would make it. Then they gave me a 2% chance. Now they think cured! I’m MSI high. I have the BRAF v600e mutation as well.

Signs and symptoms

Signs and symptoms included stomach cramps/bloating/fullness, unable to have a bowel movement (bowel obstruction) or constipation.

Side effects

Side effects included secondary cancer(s), neuropathy, chemo brain, distress or mental health issues/illness.

Joseph's advice

The most important part is catching it early! I think everyone even in their younger 30s late 20s should get screened.

The mind is very powerful! Mind over cancer! Enjoy the small things in life! Exercise!
